eGovernmentCitizens have been waiting for years on the adoption of laws that would regulate the area of E-Business in B&H, and a small step forward in this direction could mean the adoption of a draft law on electronic documents, which was established by the B&H Council of Ministers several days ago.

This is one of the laws that would complete this legislation at the state level. ‘’With the adoption of the E-Signature and E-Business Transactions Law and business transactions, as well as their by-laws, the legal framework was created for the functioning and development of information society in B&H. A Law on E-Document will complement and round up the legal framework in the area of information society and enable the establishment of an electronic legal and business transactions in the proceedings pending before the administrative authorities of B&H’’, said to ekapija.ba Irida Varatanović, the Head of the Department for informatization in the sector for communication and informatization of the B&H Ministry of Communications and Transport.

She said that for E-Business G2G (Government to Government) and G2B (Government to Business) it is necessary to establish a supervisory body and an office of surveillance and accreditation. Its establishment is planned for 2014 within this Ministry. For this, it is necessary to made amendments to the Ordinance on the internal systematization of employment positions of the Ministry.

It is planned to open an office with the internal reallocation of jobs. With the establishment of the office, as many as three laws will begin to be applied (law on e-signature, law on e-document and law on e-legal and commercial transactions).
