More than 1,500 citizens in a total of 25 BH cities registered for the race/walk “Race for the Cure”.

All funds collected from registrations will be spent for the purchase of gift packages for each woman who recently underwent the surgery in BiH, as well as free mammographic examinations in rural parts of the country. Last year, we performed 1.560 free mammographic examinations and distributed 1.400 packages of “first aid” on the “Day of Health”.

Citizens can register every Saturday in Sarajevo in front of the Sarajevo City Center and BBI Center, and in Ferhadija Street next to the Faculty of Economics. You can also register online via www.kupikartu.ba. The symbolic price of registration is 10 BAM, and citizens will get a T-shirt and the right to participate in this unique event.

The 11th Race for the Cure will take place on September 30, 2018, in front of Sarajevo City Center in Sarajevo, and this year is expected more than 8,000 citizens.

The race is part of an international network of race/walks whose aim is to increase awareness of breast cancer and women’s health.

Sarajevo is one of 150 cities in which this race is held, with which it contributes to the creation of global atmosphere of communion in the fight against this horrible disease.

The first Race for the Cure in BiH was held back in 2008, when a total of 2,500 people registered for the race. Last year’s race gathered more than 7,500 participants from all over BiH and the region.
