More than 1,538 Israelis have been killed since the outbreak of the war in Gaza on October 7, public service KAN announced on Monday.

KAN announced that 823 bodies have been identified so far, and that 715 bodies have already been buried.

On Sunday, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said the number of soldiers killed in the Gaza war had risen to 311.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Health, 5,431 Israelis were injured in the conflict.

Israel launched an aerial bombardment of the Gaza Strip following an attack by the terrorist group Hamas on the State of Israel on October 7.

Gaza’s health ministry earlier said at least 8,005 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli offensive, including 3,342 children, 2,062 women and 460 elderly people.
