More than 20 Million BAM for 58 Projects to improve Road Infrastructure in FBiH

Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Andrijana Katic signed today in Mostar the Agreements with the representatives of the counties, i.e. county directorates for roads, cities and municipalities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the allocation of funds for the construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of regional and local roads and city streets.

The users have fulfilled the conditions of the Public Call determined by the program of expenditure of funds “Capital transfers of other levels of government and funds – Transfer for the construction of highways, expressways, main roads and other roads” determined by the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2024, it was announced by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications ( FMPiK).

The subject of the Public Call was the financing of projects, improvement of road infrastructure and road traffic safety of regional and other roads (local roads and city/municipal streets) aimed at contributing to an improved quality of life, and the productive, social and demographic revitalization of county and local levels of government. in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Funds in the amount of slightly more than 20 million KM (20,127,149.96 BAM) have been allocated to projects with a high level of maturity and are prioritized for implementation in counties, cities and municipalities. A total of 58 projects throughout the Federation of BiH that contribute to a better quality of life and economic development , tourism in counties, cities and municipalities,” confirmed the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The contracts were signed today by 18 users, responsible for the implementation of the project, namely: HNŽ Road Administration/HNŽ Ministry of Transport and Communications, HBŽ Road Administration, JU Roads of the Zapadnohercegovačka County, the cities of Mostar, Široki Brijeg, Čapljina, Ljubuški, Livno, Stolac, Konjic and the municipalities of Grude, Posušje, Čitluk, Kupres, Ravno, Neum, Tomislavgrad and Bosansko Grahovo.

The expert committee of the ministry, after considering the applications in accordance with the procedures and established criteria, and in accordance with the provisions of the Public Call, made a proposal for the list of beneficiaries of the funds, and the final list of approved projects was determined by the Federal Minister of Transport and Communications.

In the coming days, contracts will be signed with the remaining beneficiaries, Fena writes.
