The sixth victim of today’s attack in the nursing home in Daruvar, in Slavonia, succumbed to his injuries, the police announced.

As reported by Hina, the head of the Bjelovar-Bilogora Police Department, Nikola Milina, said that a sixth person died of injuries in the hospital, after the retired military policeman Krešimir Pahoki shot at the employees and residents of the Daruvar Home for the Elderly and Infirm this morning.

The police have confirmed that the man who is linked to today’s multiple murders in the Daruvar home for the elderly and infirm is under police surveillance.

According to unofficial information previously reported by the local media, the attacker killed four users of the home, including his mother and an employee.

Around 10:10 a.m., he entered the “Vianey” Home for the Elderly and Infirm in Daruvar and started shooting. He then ran away, but was soon arrested near the “Daruvarac” cafe, where he allegedly ordered a drink and put a gun on the table, tportal.hr reported.

According to initial information, five people were killed at the scene, and another five were wounded.
