The largest informatics-educational event in history of learning, the action “Coding Class 2015”, will be held this year as well in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from December 7 to 13.
Organizer of this event is the Center for Promotion of Civil Society (CPCD).
The action is aimed at including as large number of primary and high schools, but also non-governmental organizations and companies from B&H, as possible in the process of educating students and gaining their first programming experiences.
“The main motive of launching this action is inclusion of youth from B&H in global educational trends and their orientation towards IT professions as the most demanded vocation of the 21st century,” stated the Director of CPCD and reminded that in last year’s action B&H, with more than 15,000 students involved and 139 schools and non-governmental organizations, achieved best results in the region.
Director of the company Microsoft B&H, which is the main partner of the action, Omar Krivošija stated that this company believes that each young person should be given an opportunity and access to technology, since computer science is an important part of fundamental learning.
One of the partners of the project is also the company Authority Partners B&H, and representative of the Department for Human Resources Ena Hubić said that this company will support the action through rewards for the best schools and students, including participation in a coding class and internship opportunities.
