In Bosnia and Herzegovina, tourists made 210,123 visits in September this year, which is 14.6 percent less than in August 2025 and 1.5 percent more than in September last year. Tourists made 422,009 overnight stays in September, which is 21 percent less than in August 2025 and 3.8 percent less than in September last year.
In the structure of total overnight stays in September, the share of domestic tourists was 28.8 percent, while 71.2 percent was the share of foreign tourists.
The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists in September was 8.1 percent less than in August 2025 and 10.4 percent more than in September 2024. The number of overnight stays of foreign tourists in September was 25.2 percent less than in August 2025 and 1.4 percent more than in September 2024.
In September 2025, in the structure of foreign tourist overnight stays, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded by tourists from: Turkey with 9.2 percent, Serbia and Croatia with 8.5 percent each, Saudi Arabia with 5.3 percent, Germany and Slovenia with 5.1 percent each, Poland with 4.8 percent, the USA with 4.7 percent, France with 3.9 percent, China with 3.5 percent, Italy with 2.9 percent, and the United Kingdom and Montenegro with 2.7 percent each, which together make up 66.9 percent of the total number of overnight stays. Tourists from other countries recorded the remaining 33.1 percent of overnight stays, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In September 2025, 21,636 rooms, apartments and camping sites were available to tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is 0.4 percent more than in September 2024. Also, there were 48,980 available beds, which represents an increase of 3.4 percent compared to the same month in 2024.
