Record Year for Sarajevo International Airport

During the year 2025, Sarajevo International Airport (MAS) was used by as many as 2,226,692 passengers, making the previous year a record in the history of this airport.

Compared to 2024, a growth of 22 percent was recorded in the total number of passengers.

The largest number of passengers was recorded in August, when as many as 311,827 passengers passed through the Sarajevo airport, according to statistics published by MAS.

As for the comparison with 2024, the highest growth was recorded in January. Compared to January 2024, in the first month of the previous year, growth of as much as 50 percent was recorded.

The airline that recorded the biggest increase in traffic from Sarajevo airport is Ryanair, on whose flights more than 457 thousand passengers were recorded the previous year.

Below Ryanair are Pegasus Airlines (382 thousand), Turkish Airlines (315 thousand), Austrian Airlines (222 thousand) and Lufthansa (167 thousand passengers).

During the year, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina was most connected with Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport, followed by Istanbul, Vienna and Zagreb.
