More than 600,000 people have been displaced in the blockaded Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced.

They published a report titled “The situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Al-Quds (Jerusalem): 17 days into the war”.

The report stated that 600,000 people were displaced in Gaza following Israeli attacks that have been ongoing since October 7, and that these people were housed in 150 shelters belonging to UNRWA.

It was reported that 10,000 more people were displaced in the last 24 hours, and around 430,000 Palestinians were displaced in central Gaza, as well as in the Khan Younis and Rafah regions.

The report stated that since October 21, 54 aid trucks were delivered to Gaza, that the aid trucks contained food, water and medicine, but it was not possible to provide fuel.

Israel has been bombing Gaza since a surprise attack by Hamas on October 7 and has placed the entire enclave under blockade, leaving its 2.3 million residents with little food, water, fuel and medical supplies.

At least 5,791 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, while more than 1,400 people have been killed in a Hamas attack in Israel since October 7.
