More than 700 Tourists visited Saburina House in just Five Days

More than 700 tourists and local guests visited Saburina House in Sarajevo, which is a 18th-century national monument that was restored by the Municipality of Stari Grad, during the period of just five days. Visitors came from Japan, France, Morocco, Iraq, Denmark, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia.

All of them were impressed with the house and its authenticity and preserved contents from the Ottoman period, as announced by the Municipality of Stari Grad.

Visitors were mostly interested in the meaning and authenticity of motifs, as well as the calligraphic inscriptions above the window.

The Municipality of Stari Grad organized the Open Doors of Saburina House in the period from August 13 to 17, with the aim to bring this pearl of architecture from the Ottoman period closer to the citizens, as well as tourists.

Organizers are especially satisfied with the fact that the house was visited by a large number of young people from Sarajevo who wanted to learn more about our history and tradition.

The house is an extraordinary and representative example of traditional residential construction or architecture in BiH from the period from 16th to the late 19th century.
