MostarSeveral Mostar recreational and rescue organizations and services organized today a one-day cleaning action of the wall structures of the old bridge from small wild plant vegetation, where moisture and sun provide favorable conditions for its propagation, reports a journalist from Anadolu Agency.

This is a traditional action that is organized every year. It was organized by the Kayak Club “Neretva-Brodari”, diving club “Neretva”, sport climbing club ”Neretva” and the intervention lifeguard service of Mostar called ”No Limit Union Neretva”. The mountain lifeguard service station Mostar, Speleology Society Herceg, HGSS and GSS Jablanice took part in the action.

During the day, they plan to remove all the small plant growths on the old bridge and on the two towers Tar and Halebink.

Today’s picture of the many tourists that visited served as a reminder of the old song by Derviš paše Bajezidagić, who sang about artists on the ropes who once in a similar way danced on the ropes around the old bridge.

After this action, participants announced that in June they would clean the riverbed under the old bridge.
