The first spring weekend in Mostar will be marked by the second Mostar half-marathon.

The second Mostar half-marathon will be held as part of the Mostar Run Weekend that is scheduled for March 23 and 24, and around 520 runners from 15 countries registered for this year’s edition of the race.

Two more races will be held within the Mostar half-marathon and applications for them are still open. They are the humanitarian race on 4 kilometers and a one-kilometer race for children, and the deadline for applications for these races is March 20.

Participants of this year’s Mostar half-marathon will run over five bridges. They will pass over the bridge Vojno in Potoci, the bridge of Hasan Brkic, Lucki bridge, the pedestrian bridge Bunur and the Customs Bridge. The idea of the organizer is that bridges connect people . Next year will be done the certification of the trail by the International Athletics Federation.

“The idea is that bridges connect and not separate people. Mostar is a city of bridges and a meeting point of different cultures and nations. One city, one half-marathon, one race,” said the director of the race, dr. sc. Franjo Lovric.

Mostar half-marathon will host some of the best athletic coaches in the region. There will be Slavko Petrovic, as well as Dr. Pavle Vlahek, co-author of the book “The ABC of running”.

Mostar half-marathon is a partner marathon with the ones organized in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Split and Dubrovnik, and it is interesting that Alen Boskovic, the director of Dubrovnik half-marathon will bring 20 volunteers to help the organization of the half-marathon in the city on Neretva River.
