Representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nezir Pivić, was a guest on the Radiotelevision of Bosnia and Herzegovina BHT1 live show.
He commented on the coalition meeting at the state level announced for the afternoon: “It will probably be a continuation of fulfilling the wishes of Dodik and Čović,” Pivić said.
“I think he is playing very wisely. The troika shows incompetence, Dodik determines the rules of the game, he settles the bills, they agree to something less. He created a crisis out of nothing and is now trying to capitalize on it,” said the SDA representative.
Asked how Naša stranka has so far blocked certain SNSD initiatives, Pivić replies that he expects it to be like that “for some time to come” and adds that in the end they too will give in with the explanation that this is done in order not to “continue the blockades”.
He said that all the decisions made by the Council of Ministers so far were “to the detriment of Bosnia and Herzegovina”. He turned again to Dodik and repeated how “a dark space” is being created so that there would be no voice to warn about all the negative things that are happening in the Republika Srpska.
He also commented on Bećirović, a Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, saying that he “says what the people might like”. He adds that Bećirović only writes statements about what is good, but does nothing to implement it in practice.
When asked if it is possible to restore citizens’ trust in the judiciary, he says that it is practically impossible now because there is no new law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council.
“There it was stated that a new law on the HJPC will be passed within a year, and we don’t even have that law 5 years later, but a proposal for changes according to which the law would be worse than the existing one… In his efforts, Dodik tried to attack the judiciary, now he has moved to the Constitutional Court, with these attacks he is putting pressure on the work of the entire judiciary,” he said.
He also commented on the Transparency International report, saying that this is the reason for the dismissal of the chief state prosecutor if it is true.
