Municipal Court Sarajevo ordered One Month custody for 17 Police Officers

The Municipal Court in Sarajevo has ordered one month custody for 17 traffic police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior who were arrested in the “DAR 1” operation for corruption, while one suspect was banned from performing and undertaking certain business activities or official duties, confirmed for “Avaz” news portal Amra Hodzic, spokesperson for the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

A total of 18 police officers were arrested in the “DAR 1” operation. Of that number, 17 are suspected of receiving gifts or other forms of benefit and abuse of position or authority.

They are charged with more than a hundred criminal offenses of receiving gifts or other forms of benefit and abuse of official position.

One police officer suspected of assisting the perpetrator after the crime and revealing an official secret.

No custody was requested for him, but measures prohibiting him from performing the duties of a police officer were requested, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.
