zemaljski_muzej_sarajevo_bihThe signing of the contract on the donation of Municipality Center to B&H National Museum took place at the botanical garden of this institution.

“The donated funds are more a moral message to the component authorities. Municipality Center has repeatedly donated funds to the B&H National Museum. These funds that Municipality Center has donated can be spent just for the most urgent things, and those are the maintenance of the fire protection system and alarm system. Currently the rehabilitation of the water supply system is in progress, announced the Director of B&H National Museum” Adnan Busuladžić.

The debt of the National Museum is two and a half million BAM.

“The priority is to find a systematic funding system of any level of government. The museum is still in a real financial and legal vacuum”, pointed out Busuladžić.

The Mayor of Municipality Center Dževad Bećirević stated that he, as a citizen, is ashamed that such an institution is not working.

“Guests from other cities or countries come to the Museum and we do not have what to show to them, and it is a shame”, announced Bećirević.

Mayor Bećirević thinks that other municipalities from Canton Sarajevo should help with donations to the B&H National Museum.
