oil-factoryMayor of the Municipality of Pale Bosko Jugovic said that this local community intends to buy the former factory “Famos” with the help of the Government of the RS. It is arranged industrial zone with its own spatial plan, at which Pale should establish its economic development.

Jugovic said that this former giant was put under bankruptcy and offered for sale, but it has not found a buyer yet.

He further noted that with this purchase, the Municipality of Pale would become the owner of an industrial zone or the investment location, and that “Famos” has 16 objects with the surface of 23,279 square meters, the land area of 64,252 square meters with roads in a length of 1.5 kilometers and complete infrastructure.

According to Jugovic, the municipality claims 160 000 BAM from the taxes on real estate, and the Tax Administration of the RS claims 800,000 BAM of contributions and taxes, which can be a mitigating circumstance during the purchase.

According to him, the value of “Famos” is estimated at 2.8 million BAM, which is the amount of indebtedness that the current management of the Municipality Pale inherited from last year.

Jugovic noted that one of the motives for raising the question of buying “Famos” are two serious investors who are willing to invest in the future industrial zone in Pale.

He expressed his hope for this to be the driving force for the creation of new workplaces.
