noć-muzeja-2014Sarajevo will register on the map of international manifestations this year, as well as it did previous year. On the event named Museums’ Night , Sarajevo will connect all museum institutions, galleries and all other relevant cultural institutions on the territory of Sarajevo and abroad.

The message about universality of arts and culture is especially attached to the subject “Museum collections make connections”, chosen by the International Museum Council ICOM, in reference to the celebration of Museums’ Night 2014. This slogan remembers that museums are live institutions which help in creation of connections between visitors, generations and cultures around the world.

This manifestation has an aim which is the enrichment of cultural life and shifting of attention on the extremely bad situation of cultural institutions.

Museums’ Night 2014 will be held on 17th May and will comprise 30 museums, galleries and cultural institutions. These institutions will open their doors till late in the night and will organize special exhibitions. Moreover, for all visitors and on the different locations in the city, concerts, performances and other events will be organized as well, all in order to celebrate this festival.
