Music Academy in Sarajevo Marks 2013 as One of the Most Successful Years

koncerna sezonaMusic academy in Sarajevo marks 2013 as one of the most successful and most productive year in the recent history. Music academy in Sarajevo firstly develops its educational activities and then artistic and scientific activities.

Top events of 2013 are realized in the artistic part, such as “John Cage – Happy New Ears!!!” in February, “Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival” in August and “Sarajevo Chamber Music Institute” in August.

Music academy revised its regular seasonal concerts, formulated and presented a full program in September, which was partly implemented at the new concert facility of the Gallery of Bosnian Cultural Center.

The seasonal concert represent individual and group concerts of teachers, guests and especially students, who represent the cycle “Students on Stage”.

Sarajevo Sonic Studio was organized in October and November with the aim of stimulating the re-establishment of regular composing practices in B&H, which is absent for 20 years.

The project was launched thanks to the friendly support of French Institute and Goethe Institute, within their cooperation in context of Fund Elysées, and foundation for scenic music and visual art. 23 world and B&H premieres were performed in the program.
