National Championship in Cross-Country Skiing to be Held on Igman This Weekend

Igman wikimediaThis weekend, more than 100 competitors from B&H and countries in the region will participate in the National Championship in Nordic skiing, that is to be held on Igman.

“Ski Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the technical organization of Ski Club “Širokača“ Sarajevo, is organizing the National Championship in Nordic disciplines, more precisely in cross-country skiing“, said for klix.ba Kenan Jažić, the coach of the BH National Ski Team.

The Championship will be held at Veliko polje. Besides six skii clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the presence of representatives of Serbia and Montenegro is also confirmed.

Cross-country skiing-classic style competition will be held on Saturday, March 21st, starting at 11.00 a.m.. Competition in cross-country skiing-free style is scheduled to begin on Sunday, at 1.00 a.m..

As Jažić confirmed for klix.ba, ski runs of 1 km, 7,5 km, and 10 km of length have been prepared for the race, and the runs will be divided according to the category of the competitors.
