The National Museum got nearly half a Million BAM

From the state budget, a total of nearly 3.1 million BAM was allocated to the cultural institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) during the last year, as the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs announced. The largest amount of 490.000 BAM was given to the National Museum in Sarajevo.

These data were included in the decision on allocation of budget funds for cultural organizations during the last year, which was announced by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH. Besides this one, decisions about who got the money in the areas of international cultural cooperation and innovation were also announced.

Besides the National Museum in Sarajevo, the amount of more than 100.000 BAM was also given to the National University Library in Sarajevo, as the support of project activities, in the amount of 270.000 BAM, then the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy Dabrobosanska in Sarajevo for the renovation of Palace Mitropolija in Sarajevo in the amount of 200.000 BAM, and the National Theater of Republika Srpska (RS) in Banja Luka for replacement of the old carpentry worth 129.000 BAM.

For the projects of international cultural cooperation, a total of 390.000 BAM was approved, and for the field of innovation 117.000 BAM.

Data on allocation of funds in the field of culture are contained in the Decision on allocation of funds from the grant for co-financing of cultural institutions projects in BiH for 2017.

The amount of money for international cultural cooperation has been allocated through the Decision on allocation of funds for projects as part of the international cultural cooperation for 2017, and for the field of innovation through the Decision on allocation of funds from the current grant as part of the “Support for the Technical Culture and Innovation in BiH” for 2017.
