At the ministerial meeting of NATO member countries on the Initiative for building defense and security capacities, which was held on February 14 and 15 at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, the package of assistance to the defense and security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina was officially approved, which includes nine aid projects for the defense system and three aid projects for the BiH security system.

At the last NATO Summit in Madrid on June 20, 2022, the Decision on the adapted aid package for BiH was adopted.

In this regard, in the coming period, the creation of an implementation plan will be started, which will also determine the dynamics of the delivery of equipment provided for in the aid projects for equipping the Armed Forces of BiH and the Ministry of Security of BiH.

These are projects worth tens of millions of euros, the realization of which will mean practical support for the defense and security system of BiH and in any case significantly contribute to the strengthening of defense and security capacities.

NATO member countries and certain partner countries have expressed a great interest in participating and realizing the planned projects, announced the Press Service of the BiH Ministry of Defense.
