NATO Defense Ministers to discuss Situation in BiH

Defense ministers of NATO countries will discuss how to increase support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia and Moldova, which represent three valued NATO partners, which are facing Russian threats, said NATO head Jens Stoltenberg today at a press conference in Brussels, ahead of the ministerial meeting to be held on Wednesday.

He said that on Wednesday, the allies will make decisions on further strengthening deterrence and defense capabilities.

Stoltenberg mainly focused on the military aid that has been delivered to Ukraine and announced that the topic of the meeting will be the situation in the parts of Ukraine under the greatest danger from the Russian offensive.

He expressed strong solidarity with NATO ally Turkey, which suffered heavily in last week’s earthquakes.

“Our thoughts remain with the Turkish people after last week’s devastating earthquakes. Thousands of emergency personnel from NATO allies are supporting relief efforts, including search and rescue teams, firefighters, medical personnel and seismic experts,” Stoltenberg said.

Moreover, NATO allies and NATO agreed to set up shelters to help house people displaced by the earthquake.
