Neira Odobasic from Sarajevo has made a great feat yesterdaybecause she managed to finish the world’s most extreme triathlon, known as Norseman.

It is a triathlon that takes place in Norway, and it is specific because it starts in the icy water of a Norwegian fjord, jumping off a ferry at five in the morning, and ends on a mountain peak with a height of 1.883 meters.

How demanding Norseman is, best describes motor racing – ‘This is not for you’‘ or in translation to Bosnian: ”Ovo nije za tebe”.

Between the start and the finish line, a 226 km track stretches through spectacular parts of Norwegian nature.

Neira finished in 22nd place in the women’s competition, and in the race in which she swam, rode a bicycle and ran a marathon, she finished in 106th place overall.

She finished the race in 13 hours, 13 minutes and 43 seconds.

In addition to the huge success of finishing the race, Neira also had the special honor of being the holder of the so-called black finisher’s shirt, which means that she placed in the first 160 competitors!

“The Norseman is the mother of all triathlons, the dream of every extreme triathlete, the most extreme long triathlon in the world, and in all other ‘extreme’ triathlons the prize for the winners is the Norseman qualification.

The organizers of this race wrote on their website: ‘This is not for you. Nothing personal. But it’s not. This is for people with fight'”, said Tomislav Cvitanusic, triathlete from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) who finished Norseman in 2019.
