The fifth international manifestation “Fiat-Fico fest” gathered yesterday in Sarajevo lovers of the legendary Fiat and then Zastava car models from all over the former Yugoslavia and Italy.
The president of Oldtimer Club Sarajevo, Nedim Husic Braco, praised Fico Club Sarajevo for the good organization of the event, which has already become traditional.
”It is nice that we have this kind of event in Sarajevo because it is a good tourist promotion for the city and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH),” Husic emphasized.
Nemanja Nestorovic from Lajkovac in Serbia is in Sarajevo for the first time at a gathering of Fico fans and he especially liked hanging out with other enthusiasts.
He stated that he has been driving Fico for the last four years and regularly visits all similar gatherings, regardless of the distance at which they are held.
”I like to travel, socialize, I also like old cars and especially Fico, and that’s what attracts me to events like this,” said Nestorovic.
The Fiat 600 was first introduced in 1955 at the Geneva Motor Show. Also, “Zastava” started producing that model in 1955 under the license of Fiat. The car of the factory from Kragujevac was called Zastava 750, and it was produced until 1985. In the territory of the former Yugoslavia, it is better known by the nickname Fico.
