The Government of the RS made a Decision: The minimum Wage will be 900 BAM

At today’s session, the Government of the Republika Srpska made a decision that the lowest salary in the RS for 2024 will be BAM 900.

The Prime Minister of the RS, Radovan Višković, previously said that a certain number of workers and businessmen will probably be affected by the RS Government’s decision on the amount of the minimum wage.

He also announced that the government will help businessmen who prove that they are suffering damage due to the decision regarding the increase of the minimum wage.

The government of RS made the decision after the employers and the trade union did not reach an agreement on the minimum wage.

“I wanted the social partners to do it, whose job it is. It is obviously easier for them not to do it, because then they will have a reason to attack the government. We are used to it. They will attack,” said Višković when he announced that the Government will still make a decision.

He also explained that the Government will help employers who are affected by such a decision, but that it will have to be documented and supported by facts, Klix.ba writes.
