New bicycle parking in the center of Sarajevo, in the street Cemalusa, is operational as of yesterday.
A member of the Association Giro di Sarajevo Damir Margeta said that this association proposed the conceptual design for the parking, which the Municipality Centar adopted and funded the works.
Margeta explained that the so-called “A-stands”, which enable different bikes to be locked in a safer way, have been installed at the new parking, as opposed to the existing parking lots near the BBI Center and near the Cathedral. Moreover, he said that Sarajevo should get another bicycle parking by the end of the year, at the Square of Liberation – Alija Izetbegovic (Trg oslobodjenja-Alija Izetbegovic).
