Faruk_Sehic_moje_rijekeThe book My rivers by Faruk Šehić was promoted last night in Sarajevo. The promotor Damir Uzunović considers this book as a crown of Šehić’s art. He thinks this book is “brave” because the author decided to write long poems at the time where everyone is writing short poems more and more often.

Faruk Šehić was born in 1970 in Bihać. Literary critics think of him as one of the most talented writers in former Yugoslavia. He wrote the following books: Hit depo (poetry), Under pressure (short stories), The book about Una (novel) and My rivers (poetry). He is the winner of the Meša Selimović award for the best novel (The book about Una) published in the area of B&H, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro in 2011 and the winner of the European prize for literature – EUPL 2013.

He works as a journalist and columnist in the magazine BH Dani. He lives in Sarajevo.
