New Composition of Council of Ministers by the End of February?

council of minitersBiH Presidency Chairman Mladen Ivanić said that it is realistic to expect that the new composition of the Council of Ministers will be announced by the end of February, which would be one of the fastest examples of government formation in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the Dayton Agreement.

He said that in the Federation of BiH, at the cantonal level, the formation of the government is somewhat slower, but that his colleagues in the Presidency, Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović conveyed the view that this should be completed in this or next week at the latest.

It creates conditions for the constitution of the House of Peoples and the election of the President of FBiH.

“Considering the political agreement which stipulates the simultaneous appointment of the president and mandatary of the FBiH Government, we would then also appoint the mandatary for the formation of the Council of Ministers of BiH. We will try to do that by the end of the year and I hope we will succeed,” Ivanić said in Banja Luka.
