New Details Revealed About Russian Drones In Poland

The Polish parliament scheduled an emergency session regarding the incursion of Russian drones into Polish territory, and at the beginning of the session, Prime Minister Donald Tusk addressed those present.

The Polish prime minister presented new information about the drones after an emergency government meeting and talks with Polish generals who had been involved from the beginning in the process of neutralizing the threats.

“We all feel that this is a special moment, which is why I asked the Speaker of the Sejm for the opportunity to make a statement regarding the unprecedented violation of Polish airspace and the related risk, including the risk of open conflict. Yesterday at 10:06 p.m., the military received the first reports of the launch of a massive Russian air attack on Ukraine,” Tusk began.

He explained that this was a NATO operation.

“Two F-35s, two F-16s, Mi-17 and Mi-24 helicopters, and one Black Hawk were sent to the designated operation area. Around 11:30 p.m., the first violation of airspace over our country was recorded. The last one we recorded took place around 6:30 a.m.,” he stated.

He explained that so far, 19 incursions of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles have been recorded.

“What is new in the worst sense of the word is the direction from which the drones came. This is the first time in this war that they did not come from Ukraine, as a result of mistakes or minor Russian provocations. For the first time, a significant part of the drones came directly from Belarus,” he stated.

In conclusion, he said that Poland will consult with all NATO allies.

“We will expect much greater support during the consultations, both under Article 4 and political consultations between capitals. This is not our war. This is not only a war for Ukrainians. This is a confrontation that Russia has declared against the entire free world,” concluded the Polish prime minister.
