New Firm “Malicija” Begins its Work in Višegrad

In Višegrad today the newly-established firm “Malicija” began its operation. It produces female garments.

The owner of this company is French citizens Kristel Kordonier. He says that in the beginning of the garment and other businesses 50 people will be employed, mostly women.

“All production of garments will be sent to the French market”, added Kordonier.

The mayor of Višegrad Slaviša Mišković said that the municipality has to revive the factory, after the strike and bankruptcy a year ago work ceased and employees were sent to the bureau for employment.

“We mediated to find a new owner and for the launching of production with that we had to intervene because of outstanding debts for electricity in order for the sewing machines in the company to start again”, added Mišković.

He emphasized the importance of this firm employing a female labor force, which would financially secure 50 families.

Mišković said that the new government would try to launch work in other businesses, because this city is known for 9 bankruptcies.
