Yesterday, a solemn ceremony where Jozsef Szipsjak took over the duty of head of EUFOR HQ in BiH was held in Butmir base near Sarajevo.

Hungarian officer Szpisjak, who took the duty from Erno Peter Siposs, said that he’ll continue with the same goals that his predecessor worked on.

EUFOR Commander Dieter Heidecker, diplomatic representatives, higher officers of Armed Forces of BiH, representatives of national contingents of 23 countries that participate in ALTHEA mission and others attended the ceremony.

Siposs, who was on duty for 13 months, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that in EUFOR he had the privilege to work with a large number of professionals.

”I used my time spent here to support the Armed Forces of BiH in their training and also to support the local authorities in keeping the secure and stabile BiH”, said Sippos and wished Szipsjak lot of success in his new position.
