New Plan of Cooperation between Hungary and B&H soon

Novi Grad and Hungary novovrijeme.baMayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo Semir Efendić hosted yesterday the delegation of the Republic of Hungary and the City of Pécs. The meeting was organized upon the initiative of the guests from Hungary who expressed desire to establish cooperation with the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, especially in the fields of culture and art.

Delegation from Hungary was consisted of the Minister for Culture of the Minsitry for human Resources of the Republic of Hungary Peter Hoppal, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Bosnia and Herzegovina Jožef Neđeši, Mayor of Pécs Pava Žolt, Director General of the Hungarian Artistic Society Janoš Hovari and the Director of Cultural Center Žolnay from Pécs Vinze Balaž.

Minister Hoppal said that cooperation between local communities proved to be the best and the most concrete model of international cooperation. He pointed out that the new plan of cooperation between Hungary and B&H is currently in the making and that the contact between the municipalities of Pécs and Novi Grad is realized in the right time.

Mayor of Pécs pointed out that this form of cooperation is of great importance for their local community as well and called for the making of an agreement on cooperation between Pécs and the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo.

Efendić expressed readiness to concretize the cooperation, highlighting that B&H and Hungary are connected with a significant period of joint history and that there is a lot of space for creation and implementation of projects in the field of culture and other aspects of social life.
