constructionIn Skelani near Srebrenica a new production hall for the metal industry is being constructed. 15 to 20 workers should be hired here.

“This investment is worth around 2 million BAM. The funds and the location was ensured by the municipality of Srebrenica, UNDP and a businessman from Bajina Bašta in Serbia.” – stated for SRNA Agency the counsellor for economy in the municipality of Srebrenica, Ćazim Salimović.

He also said that this is the first production drive to be constructed in Skelani after more than 40 years of non-investing in this area.

“We plan to produce tools for special plastics used in the automobile industry. The entire production will be placed at the European market.” – pointed out Salimović.

Besides producing tools, several machines for producing certain plastic parts for cars will be installed here too.

The construction works should be completed in mid-March and the production should start in April or May.

Salimović also stated that there is a strong possibility to build two more halls this year in Skelani, intended for processing milk, fruit and vegetables from this area so it will be a great stimulus for the development of fruit growing in this area.
