On July 24th this year, the Mayor of the Municipality Novo Sarajevo Nedžad Koldžo and the director of the company “Sarajevoputevi“ JSC Sarajevo Fazlić Nataša signed a Contract on the current road maintenance by the priorities of local communities within the Novo Sarajevo Municipality.
The abovementioned works include the repair of potholes, smaller repairs of the pavement and road facilities, installation of curbs and drains, repairs of local damages to the carriageway, emergency repairs and interventions in order to ensure the flow of traffic, in places repairs of pavement structure of the road in order to protect and increase the load capacity of the road, improvement of the drainage system of the road, repairs of the retaining and facing walls, replacement of damaged and setting new manholes and catchment grids.
The value of the signed contract is 500.000 BAM.
Koldžo pointed out that this year the road rehabilitation will be conducted in 37 locations in 18 local communities of Novo Sarajevo, all based on the requests and suggestions of the citizens of the local communities of Novo Sarajevo.
“Every year, the Novo Sarajevo Municipality allocates substantial funds for maintenance and improvement of conditions of the road communication of local uncategorized roads in the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, and only for the year 2015 around 1.500.000 BAM is intended from the budget for several programs covering this area, such as winter maintenance of the roads, installation of traffic signalization, repairs of the walking trails and pavements and the like“, said Mayor Koldžo.
