New Security Cameras in Eight Locations in Municipality Novi Grad

The Sarajevo municipality of Novi Grad, in cooperation with the Third Police Administration ‘Novi Grad’ is implementing a project of installing security cameras in the neighborhoods of Dobrinja, Otoka, Saraj Polje, Alipašino Polje, Buča Potok and Boljakov Potok.

On this occasion, the Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality Semir Efendić and the Director of the Agency for the protection of people and property Valdin Jažić signed an agreement on the purchase and installation of equipment for a surveillance system.

‘’The safety of our citizens is at the top of our priorities, and according to all statistics, our police officers have much success when it comes to the number of crimes solved and finding the perpetrators of crimes. According to our and world experiences, the setting up of security cameras in public places is one of the best ways to prevent the negative phenomenon in the streets’’, said Efendić.

Valdin Jažić pointed out that the commercial cameras are high quality and rotary with cutting-edge technology.

‘’In addition to the preventative action of the police officers, we will have the possibility for subsequent analysis of adverse effects, because the recordings will be stored’’, said Jažić. The cameras will be linked to the Third Police PU, where they will perform 24-hour surveillance of the locations.
