The Association of Organic Producers of the FB&H ‘Organsko FB&H’ (Organic FB&H) continues with networking activities of organic products in Southeast Europe.
In the previous period, representatives of the Association ‘Organsko FB&H’ announced that they had taken part in activities of the development of activities of the organic movement in Southeast Europe, and held the first general meeting of SEEON (Organic Network of Southeast Europe) at the BIOFACH fair in Nurnberg, Germany with representatives from Southeast Europe.
The founders are: B&H, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania, with the support of the Association BIO-LAND (Berlin), with headquarters in Berlin. The headquarters of SEEON will also be in Berlin.
‘’Notwithstanding the absence of a law on organic production in B&H, as well as incentives from the FB&H government for organic production, we are forced to develop this kind of production according to the standards and regulations of the EU. Our demands will be sent to all government institutions in the FB&H, and that is for organic production to be included in the stimulus for 2014, that the law on organic production is placed into procedure, to enable support for projects that are funded by the EU and for organic production to be included in strategic objectives of the development of rural areas in the FB&H so that this kind of production receives chance for development. It is this type of production of whose possibilities and developmental opportunities for B&H is spoken about’’, said President of the Association ‘Organsko FB&H’ Sejad Herceg.
