In the Municipality of Foča in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the construction of a residential building with 14 apartments for families that were in collective and alternative housing, through the project CEB II – “Closing of collective and alternative housing through public housing solutions”, was completed.
Funds for technical assistance for the implementation of the project were provided by the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans (WBIF) and bilateral donors CEB Bank of Norway, Spain, Italy and Slovakia.
The project implementer in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, in cooperation with cantonal and municipal/city authorities.
Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, Nerin Dizdar, also attended the presentation of the contract.
“Today we are here to share the joy of these fourteen families. We have come to the end of an important project in Foča in the FBiH, it is especially important because it provides housing for families from the socially sensitive category. Also, in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, works are underway on the construction of 284 residential units, which are being implemented for 11 sub-projects in the area of Gračanica, Gradačac, Banovića, Lukavac. So far, the renovation and construction of facilities for 36 sub-projects has been completed, within which a total of 993 housing units have been built and renovated. Out of the total number of built housing units, 738 housing units have been moved in so far, and by the end of the year, 255 families are planned to move into new housing units in Bihać, Ključ, Kalesija, Živinice, Čapljina and Čelić,” said Minister Dizdar.
Senad Mulahmetović will replace the previous unconditional home with a new one.
“It is impossible to describe the feeling because I got a new apartment that I had been dreaming about for years. What is most important is that thirty young people and children will live in these apartments from today,” Mulahmetović points out, as announced by the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees.
