Four new trolleybuses have arrived at the trolleybus depot in Sarajevo.

The Minister of Transport of the Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Steta, during the visit, said that the delivery of the fifth trolleybus is expected during the next week.

“Delivery is carried out in accordance with the Agreement and deadlines,” stressed the Minister.

He announced that these vehicles will be on the streets of Sarajevo in April, after all tests and procedures have been completed.

These are the most modern vehicles that have video surveillance and the most modern equipment, and are adapted for use by people with disabilities.

In an international tender conducted in accordance with the rules of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the company Belkommunmash (BKM) Holding from Belarus was selected for the procurement of new trolleybuses.

”Apart from procuring new trolleybuses, we are expanding the trolleybus network to Vogosca. We expect to announce a tender this year, select a contractor, and complete the work by 2022. After that, we will procure an additional 10 trolleybuses to have a ‘rolling stock’ of 35 vehicles,” Minister Steta concluded.
