galerija plusBanja Luka just got a new city gallery, “Gallery Plus”, which will provide a pleasant and functional space in the center of the city for exhibitions, promotion and sales of works of the artists from the city on the Vrbas River.

“This is a special space with great significance for the Museum of Contemporary Arts of Republika Srpska (MSURS), because it compensated the loss of old space that our Musem had run for more than 35 years,” said the Director of MSURS Sarita Vujković at the opening of the gallery.

The City Administration is to be credited for putting this gallery in function. They have been working on implementation of this project since 2013 and the gallery was officially opened by the Mayor Gavranović.

Exhibition of all the artists with whom MSURS cooperated in the previous period was held at the opening of the “Gallery Plus”.

“This exhibition is an invitation for all artists who want to cooperate with us in the future and design concepts which can make Gallery Plus more dynamic, more interesting and better. Our aim is for this place to serve for presentation of contemporary artistic scene of Banja Luka, especially young authors who need one such locations,” stated the coordinators of the exhibit space of the “Gallery Plus”.
