Next few months are crucial for the fulfillment of remaining requirements for MAP

The President of the National Assembly of RS Igor Radojičić and the Special Representative of EU in B&H Peter Sorensen have agreed that the next few months are crucial for the fulfillment of the remaining requirements from the Road MAP of B&H towards the EU and that the implementation of the ”Sejdić-Finci” verdict needs a local solution.

After the meeting with Sorensen, Radojičić estimated that if these  requirements failed to be realized in the next few months, we will lose the tempo because of the elections and then we will have to wait till 2015. He also said that RS was active during the discussions about the implementation of the ”Sejdić-Finci” verdict, because it supported its implementation through Parliament Acts and gave suggestions for its implementation.

” We value the effort of the EU which initiated the new process of local talks. Talks about the mechanism of coordination are also held, but in this very moment it is crucial for the ratification of the Agreement on stabilization and membership and the preparation of the application for MAP to resolve the issue concerning the implementation of the ”Sejdić-Finci” verdict.”- said Radojičić.
