The Prime Minister of the FBiH Nermin Nikšić and the Minister of Finance Ante Krajina, together with their associates, received today the Head of the World Bank Office in BiH Anabelle Abreu and head of the World Development Program (DPL) Abebea Adugnu at the headquarters of the FBiH government in Sarajevo.

The main topics of discussion was the commitment so far to public sector reform in the area of pension insurance and business environment on which the FBiH has been intensively working on for a long time in accordance with the recommendations of the World Bank.

Prime Minister Nikšić thanked the representatives of these financial institutions for cooperation, emphasizing that, above all, all help to entity governments is help for all of BiH.

‘’The strategy for reform of the pension system is in the formative phase, where we followed the guidelines of the World Bank. We spoke about this with our social partners at the last session of the Economic and Social Council for FBiH, and concluded that work still needs to be done. Of course, it is also important to have an action plan to identity the next steps and deadlines in order to implement the reforms’’, said Nikšić.

‘’As for improving the business environment, we can be thankful for everything we have done to date, where we have excellent cooperation with the Council of Foreign Investors. Of the 370 required measures that were recorded, we solved around 70 percent’’, added Nikšić.

With best wishes regarding the development of the Strategy Pension Reform, Abreu said that it is good that an action plan of the implementation was expected, because one cannot go without the other.
