The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina(FBiH), Nermin Niksic, met yesterday at the headquarters of the Government of the FBiH in Sarajevo with the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States (U.S.) in BiH, John Ginkel, and the meeting was also attended by the Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees, Nerin Dizdar.

Prime Minister Niksic expressed gratitude for the strong and significant support that the U.S. has continuously provided to the citizens of BiH.

The Federal Prime Minister stated that the U.S. is a key partner for BiH and that he wishes to maintain such a partnership in the future.

Chargé d’Affaires Ginkel emphasized the U.S.‘ commitment to continuing cooperation, particularly highlighting that he sees new opportunities for U.S. investments in BiH. He also noted that the South Interconnection project is of exceptional importance for the U.S.

The meeting was an opportunity for the interlocutors to exchange views on areas of interest for U.S. investors, with particular emphasis on the potential in the energy sector, road infrastructure, and the defense industry.

John Ginkel assumed the position of Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in BiH last month, and this was his first visit to the Government of the FBiH, the Office of the Government of FBiH for Public Relations announced.
