The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, received a farewell visit from the Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Murphy, who is about to end his term in our country. During the meeting, the importance of continuing the reform processes for BiH and its citizens was emphasized.

Nikšić thanked Murphy for his engagement and contribution to strengthening relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America, emphasizing the importance of the US support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

He emphasized that during his mandate, in addition to his significant contribution to the reform path and progress of BiH, Ambassador Murphy was a friend of BiH and its citizens.

Murphy expressed his gratitude to Nikšić for his cooperation during his mandate, emphasizing the importance of continued support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in achieving its political and economic goals, and contributing to preserving peace and stability, as well as prosperity in the country.

During the meeting, the current political situation in the country was also discussed, as well as the challenges and opportunities for further development and strengthening of democratic institutions.

They pointed out the importance of the steps taken in the Federation of BiH, and in particular the commitment to reforms and support on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path to the European Union.

They emphasized the importance of the established conditions for the start of work of special departments of the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of the Federation of BiH, which signifies a true fight against corruption.

At the end of the meeting, Nikšić wished Murphy much success in his future work, emphasizing the importance of partnership relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USA.
