Nine Persons suspected of War Crimes arrested in BiH

Acting on the order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency-SIPA arrested nine persons in the area of Bosanski Novi / Novi Grad and the surrounding area, suspected of crimes against humanity under Article 172 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Persons under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH are suspected of having committed war crimes against Bosniak and Croat victims in the Bosanski Novi / Novi Grad area in 1992 as members of the Army of Republika Srpska military police, related to the killing of several persons and illegal detention. and crimes against hundreds of people, in the Fire House camp.

After the criminal investigation, the suspects will be handed over to the acting prosecutor, who will interrogate them and then make a decision on further activities in the case.
