No Citizens of BiH on the list of injured in Brussels

12895527_1745010819068928_656265817_nBelgian authorities have officially informed the Embassy of BiH in Brussels that there is no citizens of BiH on the list of injured people in terroristic attack, said Ambassador of BiH in Brussels, Drasko Acimovic.

He said that he is still waiting for official list of dead, but there are no unofficial information that there are citizens of BiH among them.

Embassy of BiH today provided transportation for eleven BiH citizens to the destination from which they will safely return to BiH, including two direct witnesses of bomb explosions during the terroristic attacks, for which is provided the transportation to the Netherlands from where they will travel by plane.

“We sent the last group of four men to the Netherlands. We have organized their transportation, and they will be transferred from Netherlands to BiH. We hope that they will arrive in BiH tomorrow. We had a total of eleven people. We organized transport to Frankfurt for five of them, and for two of them over France,” said Acimovic.

He emphasized that the situation in Brussels is normalizing, although the highest 4th level of emergency situation is still in force.

“The embassy is functioning normally and all the people in the Embassy as well as on the missions of BiH in the EU and NATO,” said Acimovic.

According to latest information, a total of 31 people was killed and about 260 were wounded in the terrorist attacks on the airport and metro in Brussels. Responsibility for the attack was taken over by a terrorist organization named “Islamic State”.
