Yesterday’s protests by the citizens of Sarajevo have ended, and the continuation of the gathering has been announced today at 12 noon in front of the National Museum. Five people are in the official premises of the police, one adult man and four minors. Illegal items, pyrotechnic devices, items suitable for causing injuries, as well as clothing to hide the face were found with them. According to them, the measures foreseen by the law will be taken, it was announced from the MoI of CS.

Those who are linked to the possibility of abuse of these protests were detained, for wearing phantoms and possessing tear gas. The citizens continued their walk towards the SCC.

They said that they will continue the protests, demanding the determination of responsibility for the tragic tram accident in which Erdoan Morankic was killed, while four people were injured.

The gathering began at 12:00 in front of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which a protest march was organized towards the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo. There, the participants were joined by colleagues of tram driver Adnan Kasapović, who was released from custody.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, resigned, saying that “the voice of the citizens is more important to him than his position.”

The protest walk ended at the Eternal Flame.

Today’s gathering was organized by an informal group of citizens gathered around the “Don’t turn your head” profile.
