Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sifet Podžić, today received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Olav Reinertsen, in an official visit.

They discussed bilateral cooperation and the engagement of the Kingdom of Norway in matters of support to the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH (OSBiH).

There was also talk about the current activities of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Minister Podžić particularly highlighted the complex financial framework and insufficient financial resources within which the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina operate and continue to develop.

Minister Podžić and Ambassador Reinertsen exchanged views on the political and security situation in Europe and Bosnia and Herzegovina itself, where support for the continuation of the EUFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina was expressed.

The minister expressed expectations that the military cooperation between Norway and BiH will be continued and further developed.

Ambassador Reinersten thanked Minister Podžić for the reception and expressed his belief that Norway will continue to support the activities of the BiH defense system within the framework of its available capacities.
