Regularly ranked as one of the best cities to live in the world, Oslo boasts a rich cultural scene and numerous entertainment facilities, and is also known for its theaters, museums and galleries.

Oslo, the capital of Norway, has over 630,000 inhabitants, and is located on the coast of the fjord of the same name – Oslo.

The city of beautiful architecture is, according to archaeologists, at least 1,000 years old. It was founded by the Vikings, and was later chosen as the city of the king’s permanent residence. Oslo burned several times, and in the 17th century it was decided that it must be rebuilt on the other side of the bay.

It is one of the world’s largest capital cities in terms of surface area. However, it is interesting that only 20 percent of that land area is inhabited and urban developed. The rest consists of parks, protected forests, hills and hundreds of lakes.

Parks and open spaces are an integral part of Oslo’s cityscape and are easily accessible from almost anywhere in the city. It is a pleasure to explore the center on foot thanks to the numerous paths and paths that connect its public spaces. There are many pedestrian-friendly areas, including the city’s main street, Karl Johan, AA reports.
