Novo Sarajevo: Religious Communities Receive 80,000 BAM Grant

b_151013097The Mayor of Novo Sarajevo, Nedžad Koldžo, signed the contracts with the representatives of the religious communities from Novo Sarajevo on Tuesday 13th October this year on the allocation of 80,000 BAM planned within the municipal budget for 2015.

In doing this, cooperation with the three religious communities is maintained, through the activities and engagement of the 12 religious facilities- the mosques and churches, which represent the Islamic, Catholic and Orthodox communities.

In the accordance with the practice which has been implemented by the Municipality Novo Sarajevo for the last 10 years, the resources are evenly distributed this year as well, among the 12 facilities (religious communities) in the amount of 6,660 BAM each, under the condition that the communities should meet, mandatory justification and a proper use of the municipal budget resources.

The distribution of the resources is done in accordance with the expressed needs and requests of the religious communities, and are referred to the procurement of funds for maintenance and protection of the buildings from decay, procurement of equipment and the necessary inventory and educational and religious- educational activities in the Municipality Novo Sarajevo, as reported.
