Number of Coronavirus infected Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina reached 604

The number of coronavirus infected persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina reached 604 this morning.  After testing, 25 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Republika Srpska entity, Avaz news portal reports.

In total, 316 samples were tested in the laboratory of the Institute of Public Health of RS. Alen Seranic, RS Minister of Health, confirmed this on Saturday morning.

“Fourteen are from Banja Luka, six are from Sipovo, three are from Laktasi and one each from Ribnik and Teslic, 16 are male and nine are female,” said Seranic.

Talking about the structure of contacts, he stated that 21 people were infected after contact with a positive person or from a family focus, while four did not make contact.

When it comes to new cases, eight people are hospitalized because they have symptoms, they are confirmed to be suffering from Covid-19, while others are in isolation. At the RS Clinical Center, 39 people have a severe clinical picture, six are on a respirator, while nine are isolated.

There are 35 patients with lighter clinical imaging on Pulmonology.

“The total number of persons in the Clinic is 89. We have 22 recovered persons, as far as other hospitals are concerned, one is being treated in Bosanska Gradiska, one in Prijedor, three in Doboj, three in Bijeljina and two in East Sarajevo,” said Seranic.

He stated that the highest number of patients in Banja Luka were 186.
